Denver is the goods!! And… another spillage

I had such a great sleep, or at least I must have as I don’t remember it. The 4:40 alarm was effective and I was in my Lyft by 5- headed for the airport.

I found a really good puzzle book at the Seattle airport and have been looking for one like it since, for my Dad. I know he would like it. Unsuccessfully.

My search continues.

The breakfast pretzel from Jamba Juice was extremely ordinary. Give me a butter-dipped one from Aunty Anne’s or Wetzel’s pretzels any day.

The iced coffee from Alfred nearly made up for it.

This was my best internal flight yet. No one next to me, two windows 😊😊, working entertainment and all charging ports working,

The airport in Denver is ages from the city. And the steep walkways seemed to foreshadow my time in the mile high city.

First tornado shelter I have seen

There is a train that goes into the Hutu and I then got off at Ynuon and got as close to my hostel using the free metro bus.

A three minute walk had me storing my luggage so I could walk and then I went back to Union.

Food first. I saw the whole goods and went in to explore and stayed to eat lunch, after becoming entranced with their create your own salad stations with hot and cold ingredients.

I created the best salad ever! And washed it down with a fresh iced tea.

Then I did some fun souvenir shopping and just exploring along 16th St Mall, which is currently under construction all the way along. But Denver is just refreshingly accessible and quite beautiful.

Lots of chill-out spaces for the tired tourist to sit and relax without having to spend money on a drink.

I heart you, Denver.

I will heart you more tomorrow when I have friends to explore with !

I decided that I might pass the first couple of evening hours at the movies rather than just hang out at the bar at Hostel Fish, my digs for the night.

I didn’t want to watch Twisters on 4DX or so I thought. I thought I would have to wear 3D glasses or something.

Dude! The chairs started moving around during the ads! It was like a Disney ride at some points.

It was a fun movie and when the chairs special effects just became ridiculous, we all just giggled.

I was madly trying to gulp down my water to avoid spills. Too late. It went everywhere.

Turns out Hostel Fish is only a 20 minute walk from the cinema.

I walked until I felt I could be putting myself in a silly spot. And called a Lyft.

Upstairs in the hostel.
How cute is my bed!!! Top bunk in the left hand side

The Hostel is not full, well maybe it is and they are all out partying. But when I went to my room, one gal was already tucked in bed, with her lamp on, so I have done all my bedtime stuff and now I am being nice and quiet.

Gnight!
