In which tomorrow’s Michelle will be very grateful!

I am so glad I swapped parks today, hence taking advantage of early entry at California Adventure Park.

My body was already unhappy at the 7 am lineup at the first gate; before I put it through a 25 km/12 hour day, the first 9 hours uninterrupted.

My hotel ticket came with Genie+ and I became very adept at using the lightening lane function.

Can you tell I was the only person who didn’t realise a camera was taking out photo? The ride was amazing!
So fun!!

This meant that by 11 am, I had already finished every ride I wanted.

So beautiful

So I hopped across to Disneyland park.

My promise to myself was to take it easy and only accomplish rides via Lightning Lanes.

I managed it’s a small world, Soarin, Buzz Lightyear, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and MillenniumFalcon. All using Lightening Lanes.

The palace is so cute

Part of the Star Wars world
Just casually hangin’ with The Dapper Dans

Amongst that, I watched the amazing barbershop quartet The Dapper Dans do their 20 minute show , taping it for my tag-loving son.

Then I literally crashed.

I slumped off to my hotel room, changed into flip flops, mobile ordered some battered beans from the local grill Tangaroa Terrace and in the way to grab them, I put my dirty clothes in a wash cycle in the laundry.

After hoovering up the food, the clothes were ready to go in the dryer. I showered and rested a bit.

When I saw that the tv in my room livestreams the 9pm World of Colour show I was in a virtual queue for, I knew I would just stay in my room and watch it.

Then once the refreshment kicked in, I started to wonder if tomorrow’s Michelle would appreciate me taking even more things off of tomorrows schedule.

My tired toes auto-piloted their way into my shoes and off I trudged back into the thick of it..

Pirates of the Caribbean ✅

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ✅

Jungle Cruise ✅

Enchanted Tiki Room ✅

I got a notification that the queue for World of Colour show was open, so I raced down Main Street and re-entered California Adventure Park.

The crowds were easing, the light was pretty and the mood was buzzing and ambient. I like Disney best at this time of day. Less frantic.

World of Colour, a water, light, fire and fog show takes place on the water of Paradise Bay Lagoon, so I got a front row section te edge of the water.

The show was amazing but I was DONE!

I mobile ordered some pork potstickers as I made my way home and ate them in the hotel.

A couple thoughts:

Scariest ride today: Incredicoaster- terrifying

Best ride today: Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway- modern/ nostalgic/ clever

Ride i accidentally joined and subsequently loved: Radiador Spring Racers

Better here than at Disney Wold: Pirates of the Carribean

Only good for the aircon and a comfy seat: Enchanted Tiki Room

Also, being a single rider gets you through lines soooo fast!
