Jet lag finally seems to have departed my body. It was a great sleep after a great day of catch ups, and I woke feeling refreshed.
We spent the morning around the dining table just chatting- it went far too quickly.

After big goodbye hugs with Lori and Moira’s mom Jean, Moira very generously drove me to the airport. This meant we had over an hour more of chat time.

Thanks so much Moira for your sweet hospitality- I loved every moment hanging out with you!

Airport time! Heading to security, a wash of panic washed over me as I remembered that all my laundered clothing still sat back in Moira’s dryer. Sorry Mo!
My flight was delayed 15 minutes so I honed in on some delicious Seattle chowder for lunch.

It was just as good as it remember it being when I ate at Pike Place last time.
So far this trip has been quite well organised and gone smoothly, but a glance at my planned transport to Anaheim set off some nervous butterflies in my tummy.
The bus ticket I booked to take me to Anaheim was departing Union station – an hour away from the airport. Why did I book that?
Even without the slight delay, I was never going to make it there in time.
There needed to be another way.
Shuttle prices started at $110 and climbed to $600 according to the quotes I received.
Lyft quoted me about $65. An option!
Anyways, it was time to turn on airplane mode and leave that little problem for when I landed.

My ticket, one I purchased months ago, landed me in the very last seat on the plane, one usually reserved for the crew.
I didn’t mind at all until someone with an upset tummy visited the restroom and a malodorous stench settled like a cloud around our nostrils for half the flight .
This was the least enjoyable flight so far. It didn’t help that the entertainment was out for the whole flight.
The cheery attitude of the flight attendants made a difference though. They brought us refreshments and snacks; I played my audio book and enjoyed the challenges provided by the fabulous puzzle book I purchased at the airport.

In the 3 months it took to disembark the plane, I made the expensive but wise choice to get a ride share to Anaheim as there was no way I would catch my bus.
My Lyft driver turned up his music, thankfully and besides some cheeky texting while he was driving , it was a nice, but not very pretty drive.

I noticed at least two paper license plates flapping in the wind in traffic today, one in Seattle, one n LA.
What does that mean?
Tonight’s motel is cheap but nice and in a safe area.

The plan was to go to Walmart.
After sitting at the bus stop for a long time, I worked out that walking the 50 minutes there would still get me there quicker than waiting the bus.

A chat with my Dad on the walk clued me in to this afternoon’s assassination attempt. Pretty sobering.

By the time i arrived at Walmart, I was hangry and not in the mood to explore Walmart aisles with all the crowds.
Hence this became my briefest Walmart visitever. I grabbed my haul and ordered a Lyft.
All the way home, this very chattyLyft driver told me not to come back to that particular area,
Too dangerous.

I nearly crashed early, but the Disneyland fireworks behind the motel saw me hurrying back outside. It was extremely loud and close!

Tomorrow. I will check in to my Disney adventure, and make a plan for my actual Disneyland days: Monday and Tuesday.
I tried checking in to my Disney accom tonight but the website hates my Aussie phone number and kept booting me,- a half hour of my life I won’t get back.
Post note: I am just seeing footage of the assassination attempt and the absolute immediacy of the bodyguards surrounding Trump making their own exposed heads and persons so vulnerable, racing to the danger, left me very moved.
