Waking up in the Viking village of Poulsbo was delightful this morning.
My first bagel fort 2024 and some cinnamon tea.

I love Moira’s home and the backyard is just gorgeous too.

The summer day was perfect, almost more like spring,
We hung out, then went exploring down the mainstreet. Poulsbo’s Viking souvenir game is strong and there are so many pretty buildings here too.
Lots of Nordic trinkets and bits and pieces lots of Viking souvenirs- beautifully crafted. .I got all excited to score some Viking souvenirs for Bodie, but then remembered that Vikings and pirates are not the same thing. Stupid jet lag.

We enjoyed lunch on the deck of an Italian restaurant.

My salad of candid walnuts, mushroom and goats cheese was so scrummy.

We chased away the jet lag with coffee

and then met up with Moiras parents who I have long adored from shared time in Kenya.

We had a relaxed late afternoon and enjoyed BBQ and the fixins.

I love all the many colours of the carrots!

My night finished on an episode of the Chosen followed by some cinnamon whisky to help me embrace the sleep.

Not a detailed post. Just the highlights, because when I am catching up with friends, that time is precious and I want to focus on making the memories.
It has been a real good day.
