Our last few days were a little boring really. Quite formulaic.
I did go for a walk to the metro to ask about tickets to and from Disney the following day. I had a few questions, and typed them out on the google translate app and then took a photograph of them.
When I got to the metro and found information, a lady behind me seemed to only have a simple issue so I waved her past. The information lady was having none of it. She insisted it was my turn. Then she carefully read the questions, answered them by showing me how I could save €16. And she topped it off by coming out to walk me through how to use the ticket machine. Now that is service!

A planned walk along the scenic left bank today needed to be replaced with a boat tour when it became obvious that the 10 yr oldwas still recovering from his migraine.
Our plan was to go late evening but to avoid the actual night tour as we hadn’t seen everything in the daylight yet.
We walked down past hordes of tourists as usual and past no small number of picnicking Parisiennes. It really struck me how much the people of Paris love and use their river.
The glare of the summer evening was intense. The sun was hot and bright even though it was a mild day.
We had tickets that we could use at any time so we strolled for 10 minutes along left bank to skip the first boat and then boarded the next.
We avoided seats on the deck as they bore the full glare of the evening summer sun. Our seats were next to a verandah and had access to the audio.

The audio started off so well. Every language imaginable and the speaker’s voice was full of passion, his dialogue rich and dramatic. But he kept cutting out altogether and our little phones were tethered to the back of our seats so it was hard to keep a hold. We gave up and our lovely skipper would all out interesting facts.

It was a really good your as far as seeing a lot of beautiful ancient Paris. Also the fact that this is the tour that left from the Eiffel swayed us. Such a convenient location us to get to from our apartment.

An early-ish night as we were heading in to Disney Village ( the free part of Disney) the next morning.

Bright and early, we got up did a dry run of the route we would take the next day to Disneyland with our luggage.
It was a long but quite straightforward route. Probably 50 minutes. I did notice that the metro is pretty stinky.
We hopped out and straight into Disney Magic!
I won’t bore you with details. Those with money shopped. We had a nice lunch at Rainforest Cafe. I felt it lacked a little of the magic of the one in Orlando, but probably that may have been due in part to the fact that it had been our first time there then.
We left earlier than we thought.
We got back to about 10 fire engines of different sizes flashing like a disco across the road from our apartment. They were there for several hours. Seems like an electrical shop had a blaze under its floor boards. Smelt like an electrical blaze.
It was a last final look around Paris and mainly our neighborhood before our final au revoir the next morning.
Early morning, we rose excitedly and journeyed in to our accommodation at Explorer Hotel. Thankfully we could leave our luggage in store are for the longest day we have ever put into Disney.

The rides don’t start till 10 here. We arrived at 9:30 am, left at about 9:15 in the evening to get check in-give the 10 yr old a half hour swim in the fun hotel swimming pool. In the way home, the bus overheated and stopped 3 times in the side of the road. Each time it restarted. Then as we were crossing the biggest intersection on the Main Street it overheated and stopped mid-road, mid-traffic. The other drivers were absolutely horrendous, honking and verbal abuse. Thankfully after 5 minutes the poor driver got the bus started. He limped it back to Disney where we caught a new bus back.

After checking in and getting our beds organized we bussed back into Disney just after 10 to get a spot to watch the 11 pm Dreams show closing.
In between those hours was just fun fun fun. We didn’t have many long lines and we got to do loads of rides. Dumbo was the surprising standout. Disney Dreams itself was inspired. We were entranced and then went home and crashed. Unfortunately our toilet was broken…

Today we we not all quite as healthy as the day before. Bodie and Kara were not feeling well.
As it was Disney Studios we knew the pace could be slower.
The shuttle between the hotel and Disney has been brilliant. Must times as we step out, the shuttle is just arriving. The longest wait we have had is 2 minutes.
We got to Disney Studios and Bodie opted to sit out for a while.
It was a more tiring day where we did less but felt more drained and got home for a rest. I found it to be the same with Studios in the U.S. It just doesn’t do it for me in the same way. Less Magic.
