Our only agenda this morning was getting pork rolls at Oink and walking the Royal Mile.
I had a pork roll with sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. Don’t forgot to ask for crackling!!!

There is not much sitting space to enjoy one’s pork roll at Oink’s location so we took them over to a shady bench at Grassmarket. Grassmarket is a market place, but really a strip of picturesque pubs and a lively spot to people watch. Public executions were carried out here back in the day!
After filling our bellies, we split up for some separate exploring. Kara and I saw some of the Royal Mile on our way to Starbucks. She needed some downtime from sightseeing.
On our way back to Marketplace, we saw lots of people licking delicious-looking ice cream cones. We implored them for directions to the ice cream oasis as it was another very warm day.

And soon, shimmering like a mirage before our eyes was Over Langshaw Ice Cream. It boasts some traditional favorites and then a couple ‘wow’ factors also! Which one tickles your tastebuds?
I sampled two and settled on choc mint. The whisky one was sublime though, light and refreshing.

We strolled home to rest up for our 9 pm Murder and Mystery tour.
Here are a couple pics of Edinburgh’s grocery store.

At 8:50 we assembled obediently at the starting point of our tour.

Right on 9, a skinny little character came streaking up the cobblestones, dodging tourists and obviously determined to being covert.

Soon after, a ghostly man swept up in his cloak and with that 75 minutes of fun and history began. I highly recommend this tour.

We came back home on a high, everyone chattering excitedly.
